Sarah Furuya Coaching is moving forward feeling well, the most well I've ever felt.
One can come through health and life challenges.
Not everyone does - so please look after yourself.
Following some huge life changes that were a gamble and were hard (understated) - Summer 2024 I started to feel consistently good, yet felt suspicious of the feeling. October I was on a boat cruising around the Statue of Liberty and leaned into a friend, and in a hushed tone said "I feel really good, really...well - two months of feeling like this" They congratulated me and we embraced and felt optimism together.
I'm reminded of the sincere privilege of being a coach - watching people's lives unfold in both unexpected and planned ways. Investing in themselves, going through hell and finding their way back, stopping doing this, making 90, 180, 270 degree turns. Sometimes 360!
Sometimes well planned visions are changed beyond recognition due to surprise, sometimes tragic circumstances
Books published, art created, jobs acquired and left. Houses built, renovated and cleared!
SF Coaching clients continue to make me love my job - there is big news incoming, new roles, new businesses, crazy situations overcome, relationships bolstered, relationships left. My clients are so interesting - I realised that at the core of SFC - is interesting people. Partners, employees, collaborators.
I'm reminded also of SFC partnerships - Gretchen and I planning the 6th round of Lighthouse Circle Grief Support and innovating our membership style. Carolyn and I ran 3 rounds of Ordinary Magic writer's workshops last year. Laura and I produced 2 seasons of the #LegendsPodcast, with guests and my speak to mic series #CreativeMusings - the podcast will be back in Q1 - I can't wait! We have the theme and invites will be going out soon.
Oh and published! In the Summer diary from Moon Hotel Press. (Soon to be published again in Skirting Around). Keeping up the commitment to continually publish I post a poem a day in a private group and have essays back up the wazoo!
June saw me present a Relationships by Design workshop at the FEW JAPAN flagship conference where I met two great contacts!
Angela Ortiz Pettas and SFC started the 'Saunter & Frolic' Retreat brand - laid back luxury for dazzling women and ran our first sold-out retreat in July at MiCasa Ichinomiya.

Of course REI Refugee Empowerment International continues to be an source of commitment and inspiration. I am impressed by our clients in the projects that we resource and look forward to celebrating at the REI Gala March 21st (invites incoming for an SFC table).
Moving forward - a new partnership has emerged as I will be hosting a coaching taster "A Day of Visions"
For the first time in a few years I feel deeply optimistic and well - fully alive! Ready for fresh ideas and so much more coaching!
While these recent years have not been the most financially successful years, I believe the SFC impact is more potent than ever.
