Alex is the artistic director for the contemporary jewelers Hirotaka and has worked on all of their gorgeous campaigns. A legendary videographer, he has made a documentary about Roisin Murphy telling the story of her influence on the San Francisco drag scene and created music videos for artists including Japan-based artist Coppe.
Alex has worked with multiple fashion magazines and brands creating video visuals and photography.
Chuck has his own production company Quiet Flame, through which he produces films including the short-film Fists of Absinthe, a comical movie leaning into Chuck’s excellence in stuntwork, choreography and fight scenes. His commitment to social impact inspired him to make the movie Eastbound Traffic, a film about people trafficking.
Chuck is a skilled actor, stuntman and motion-capture specialist who has appeared in many action movies as both and actor and stuntman.
Although Martine has recently graduated in a Masters in Nutrition, her background was in music and she has anecdotes about Gwen Stefani, Powderfinger, Nick Cave and Mogwai from her time managing and touring with musicians and promoting music in clubs. Martine’s whole story is fascinating and her stories about the old music days are especially fun documents of recent popular culture.
Susannah has had an impressive and illustrious career in the media starting out in UK’s ITN as a regional presenter and national correspondent, then on to 17 years as an anchor, presenter and correspondent, for the BBC, where I saw her the year I got married interviewing Justin Timberlake while 8 months pregnant, where she worked on BBC Breakfast.
After 17 years at the BBC, she moved on to Hargreaves Lansdown as the Senior Investment and Markets Analyst, yet still regularly appears on BBC News and other news outlets to give her hot takes on the latest in the financial landscape. Not only that she has her own series Susannah Shares, where she gives bite-sized financial news over a cuppa.
For those in the UK - Susannah appeared on the very popular quiz show Celebrity Pointless with her partner Nikki Fox.
After working for David Cameron and the Conservative Party in the 2000s, then for a Premier League Football Club and moving to China, then Japan, she is now presenter on the hugely popular NHK TV Show ‘Cool Japan’ where she represents Britain on the international panel of commentators on aspects of Japanese life.
Kyle is SF Creative beloved videographer and a total pro. Kyle worked on Queer Eye Japan, with Taylor Swift and has done multiple campaigns with Japan superstar Naomi Watanabe. Kyle has a long list of people and projects he worked on in Japan, but perhaps his greatest achievement to date is his own film that recently premiered in Shibuya to a full house.
Last and by NO means least - Morgan is a true Rock Star Legend. I mean - Truly 50 years of myth, legends and tales from the rock world. His first big band, Love Affair had the mega-hit ‘Everlasting Love’, the he joined the band Mott the Hoople, who are most well-known for their mega-hit ‘All the Young Dudes’.
Morgan has since worked with many many musicians and artists including Yoko Ono and has recently revived his home studio live gigs in the heart of Tokyo. It was such a pleasure to interview a creative and old school rockstar!
So these are my Legends of Media to date and what a collection! I couldn’t tell you where to start but please do know that each and every story, myth and Legend contained in this series is filled with magic, advice, sage wisdom. life experience nad delights and it is a great privilege to hold this archive of storytelling.
